Award Finalist
May 5th, 2010As many of you know, I was nominated for the National Association of Women Business Owners’ Rising Star Award back in March. After extensive interviewing and stiff competition, I was named as one of the three finalists. Unfortunately, the winner was named last night at a gala event and it was not me. After a minute of feeling sorry for myself, I realized that every day when I walk into Charlotte Aquatics, I am a winner! Thank you to my fabulous staff for making CA so wonderful. You have worked so diligently and are so committed to our mission. Thank you, parents for entrusting us with your children. And thank you especially to every child that swims with us – you make my day. Who could ever feel down when you are surrounded by such awesome kids? As we teach our students, sometimes you pass your level and get a patch and sometimes you don’t, but you keep on trying and striving for the goal! Thank you to everyone for supporting me, cheering for me, and helping me along the path, eventually I will to get my “patch” too.
