Summer Session Level 6 Champions!
August 17th, 2012Ava is a rising 3rd grader at St. Matthew Catholic School. Ava is 8 years old and when she is not swimming she likes playing outside, riding her bike, reading and, of course, watching television. Her favorite stroke is the front crawl. Ava says that swimming has changed her life by making her feel more confident. Ava has loved all of her instructors and her favorite thing about Charlotte Aquatics is simply just being able to get in the water and swim. When asked about her favorite memory of Charlotte Aquatics she said “passing level 5 because that meant I was getting closer to that trophy!” Way to go Ava.
Christina is eight years old and began her swimming career at Charlotte Aquatics. During her free time, she reads, dances, and watches her favorite TV shows. The best part of her experience is being confident in her swimming abilities. Christina is very determined; she would come home and practice the strokes she struggled with in the neighborhood pool. Swimming has changed her life by overcoming the fear of water. The best part of Charlotte Aquatics is meeting new friends and amazing teachers. Christina’s favorite memory at Charlotte Aquatics is when she had to tread water with her clothes on. When she first attended Charlotte Aquatics, she did not know how to swim at all. She is proud of the progress she has made being at Charlotte Aquatics.
Jenna is a rising 7th grader at Carmel Christian School who loves to read and hang out with her friends. Jenna’s favorite stroke is breastroke. She says, “Swimming has changed her life by making her more confident in the water and it relaxes me!” She likes the small class size at Charlotte Aquatics because she gets more individualized attention. Her favorite memory of Charlotte Aquatics is swimming with her clothes on (shoes and all) during Safety Week. Jenna has all of her hard earned patches on a whiteboard in her bedroom. Congratulations Jenna you have worked hard!
Sean is nine years old and a rising 3rd grader at Sharon Elementary. When he is not swimming, he enjoys building Legos, reading, being a Cub Scout, and watching TV. His favorite stroke is breaststroke, and he says swim lessons have changed his life because he worked hard and learned a new skill. Sean’s favorite thing about Charlotte Aquatics is Ms. Gigi! When Sean was in Level 5, he looked at the Level 6 Champions poster and announced, “That will be me someday.” Now his favorite memory of Charlotte Aquatics is passing Level 6 and earning his trophy! Congratulations Sean, and thank you Charlotte Aquatics!
