My name is Anna and I am a second grader at Collinswood Language Academy. I started taking lessons at Charlotte Aquatics because my parents think it is very important that everyone learn to swim. When I am not swimming, I am reading, practicing Iris dance and playing with my sister. My best swimming memory was getting my level 6 trophy! My Mom is framing all my swimming level patches so I can display them in my room. What I like most about Charlotte Aquatics are the instructors (the stickers and Lollipops too)! My favorite memory of Charlotte Aquatics is hanging out with Stephanie in the office drawing pictures during my sister’s lesson.
My name is Abigail. I am 10 years old and go to Endhaven Elementary. When I am not swimming, I either read, ride my bike, do karate, or cook!? My favorite stroke is the Butterfly because it is challenging but very fun to do. I started swimming at Charlotte Aquatics last October on level 3 and have accomplished a lot since then! What do you like most about Charlotte Aquatics? Making lots of new friends! My favorite memory of swim lessons is in the last session of class our instructor told us to tread water for 7 minutes and we all got so tired we started spinning around crazy until our time was up!
My name is Archana and I am 11 years old and I?m in 6th grade at Community House Middle School.? I started swimming when I was 8. Ever since then I have had a passion for swimming and it has become one of my favorite sports. In my free time when I am not swimming, I like to play piano and trumpet, play tennis and be with my friends. My favorite stroke is breast stroke. My favorite memory from swimming was when I found out that I was passing level 6.? And I would like to thank Miss. Allison and Mr. Mike for all of their great guidance with helping me achieve this great accomplishment. Now, all of my swimming patches are on my desk, in my room.? What I like most about Charlotte Aquatics is the nice teachers, the warm water and the under-water music.
My name is Ashley I am 10 years old I am in 4th grade in Hawk Ridge Elementary. When I am not swimming I Iike to jump on my trampoline, ride my bike and play with my friends. My best memory is when I swung back and forth on the rope in level 2! When I get new patches I put them on my nightstand in my room. My favorite Stroke is breast stroke. Charlotte aquatics changed my life because now I know what swimming is for real. What I like about Charlotte aquatics is that when I look at the water I see everybody smiling.
?My name is Bhoomika. I am 8 yrs old and in 2nd grade at Barringer Academic Center. I started swimming at charlotte aquatics when I was 5 yrs old. When I am not swimming, I like to play outside, ride my bike and read books. I appreciate all my instructors (Mrs. Gigi , Mr. mike and Ms. Rachel). They taught me to swim so well that I was able to do snorkeling in Puerto Rico this past spring 🙂 I really enjoyed learning butterfly because it was the most challenging stroke. My favorite stroke is breaststroke. My best swimming memory is when I was in Mr. Mike?s class and Mrs. Gigi was encouraging me and she was saying “go Bhoomika go ” I have saved all my patches. Hi! My name is Claire. I am 8 years old and I go to Ballantyne Elementary. When I am not?swimming I like to draw and ice skate. Swimming has been something I have done since I was a six years old. My favorite stroke is freestyle because it gets me all worked up. My best swimming memory is when I swam at the pool with my cousin Judy and my friend Yunha. I have?four swimming patches in all and I have put them in a very special box. Swimming has changed my life because now I know what to do if I ever drown. What I like about Charlotte Aquatics?is all the swimming coaches are super nice and make you feel at home. A special thanks to my mom and dad who first got me into swimming. Hi my name is Deeya. I just moved from Singapore about 4 months ago. I am?11 years old and I am in the sixth grade at Community House Middle School. Swimming is my favorite sport and my goal is to be in competitive swimming. My hobbies other than swimming are playing the piano and dancing. I would like to thank Ms. Allison for being my teacher. I have really improved at mastering my butterfly stroke since I joined Charlotte Aquatics.

Swimming has changed my life because now I am comfortable in the water and can go to pool birthday parties and join my dad and sister swimming in the ocean! My favorite thing about Charlotte Aquatics is Mr. Mike and Ms. Gigi. My best memory is the first time I was able to do my first flip turn.

I keep all my patches in my keepsake drawer with my special things. Favorite stroke is Breaststroke?Swimming has changed my life because now I can swim as good as all my friends. My favorite memory of Charlotte Aquatics is when I got to ride in the big green boat hanging from the ceiling.?Kaci?s mom has the following comments, “In just over two years, Kaci has blossomed into a student-athlete and now swims with Queen City Dolphins. Not only did she excel in her abilities, she’s gained confidence, set goals, and persevered to reach those goals. I’m proud of what she’s accomplished! I send a very special thank you to Deborah and Gigi, the beginning and end, for being great teachers in swim AND character. I am forever grateful!”
Mackenzie is six years old and in kindergarten. When Mackenzie is not swimming she is tumbling at gymnastics! She also enjoys riding bikes, trail runs, and reading.? All of Mackenzie’s patches are displayed on her ribbon board in her room.?Her favorite stroke is the front crawl. The thing she likes the most about Charlotte Aquatics are the rewards for passing each level. Mackenzie’s favorite memory from Charlotte aquatics is the relay race they had to celebrate the 2012 Olympics!
Rishi is a third grader at Park Road Montessori school. When he is not swimming and going to school he likes to play soccer and video games. His best swimming memory is when he first learned how to do a flip turn. His favorite stroke is the breast stroke and his favorite memory at Charlotte Aquatics is swimming with his friend Andrew. Rishi feels that learning how to swim has changed his life because now he can go to the lake fishing and can do a lot of things near the water. My name is Tanvi. I am seven years old. ? am in first grade and I go to Polo-ridge Elementary?School. When I am not swimming I dance and play a lot with my friends. My best swimming memory is swimming with clothes on. I saved all of my patches in a special patch pouch. My favorite stroke is breast stroke, because it is fun and easy for me. Swimming changed my life because I feel more confident. What I like most about Charlotte Aquatics is rope diving. Initially I was scared, but later on I felt confident and enjoyed rope diving.
