Once again, we celebrate those students who have completed the highest level of accomplishment at Charlotte Aquatics – passing Level 6! These swimmers are now competent in all of the competitive strokes, flip turns, endurance, and water safety and rescue skills. Congratulations!
Sahithi is a 5th grader at Elon Park Elementary. She enjoys swimming very
much and tries to do her best at every lesson. When she is not swimming, she
loves reading, biking, and playing the piano. Now that she knows swimming, it
is her all-time favorite sport.? She appreciates everyone who put time and effort into teaching her, especially Mr. Mike. Butterfly and breast strokes are her favorite strokes. She likes the feeling of how smoothly she glides through the water. ?Swimming has been a great experience and I thank Charlotte Aquatics for all they have done!? Sahithi?s mom says ?Swimming will always be a part of her. Once again, THANK YOU all!!!?
Olivia,? or ?Livvie? to us, is a third grader at Carmel Christian School. Warm water and
music are what Livvie loves about swimming at Charlotte Aquatics. She also will? always remember working with Ms. Gigi and Ms. Kelly. Since Livvie has passed? level 6, she is now swimming for New South Swimming, a USA Swimming year round swim? team. Her patches have been turned into magnets and line the side of the
refrigerator at home. ?She is also a Girl? Scout Brownie, is learning to play piano and is always trying to teach her dog? Cocoa new tricks.
?Luke is a student at Rea View Elementary. He knows the benefits of sports and exercise. When Luke, who has been swimming with Charlotte Aquatics since he was two and a half, is not swimming he is playing basketball, football, hockey, and becoming a Black Belt in martial arts. ?His mom has made him a ?sports scrapbook? that includes all of his swim patches. Luke?s favorite stroke is the side stroke. His favorite memory of swimming was the moment he found out he was passing level 6 – a huge accomplishment! Luke likes many things about Charlotte Aquatics but his most favorite is the rope swing, Ms. Gigi, and following in his sister, Julia?s footsteps (she passed level 6 last October). Ask Luke how swimming has impacted hi life and he says, ?Swimming at Charlotte Aquatics has made me fit and confident in the water.?
