Paige is 7 years old and is a rising second grader. She has been swimming at Charlotte Aquatics off and on since she was a baby. She’s always loved the water, and those first Mom-and-me lessons helped reinforce that love. She loved learning all the different strokes at Charlotte Aquatics – and was so excited to put her skills to good use at summer swim team this year. She even swam butterfly and breaststroke in the swim league’s All Star Meet! Swimming has changed her life by teaching her how hard work and practice pays off. She’s so excited to have completed level 6 and earned her trophy. She’ll miss her teachers at Charlotte Aquatics but says that she wants to keep swimming year round!
My name is Sanvi. My best swimming memory is when I learned how to do a handstand in the deepest part of our neighborhood pool! I love swimming. I am involved in multiple activities outside school like karate, traditional dance form, and piano. I have saved all my swimming patches in my memory box. My favorite stroke is breaststroke because I love the feel of when I push myself forward with my legs. Before I learned how to swim, I used to be scared of the water and pool. Swimming has changed my life and has taught me how much fun it is to be in the water and I love it. Charlotte Aquatics has great teachers who are very friendly, encouraging, and challenged me over the years. I still recollect my first time I was able to independently swim. I was so excited that I didn’t want to stop swimming! I will enjoy the waters and the life skill I have learned. Thank you so much for all that you have taught me.
