My name is Amelia and I am six years old. I am a first grader. When I’m not swimming, I like to play soccer, tennis and basketball and spend time with my friends. My favorite stroke is the backstroke and learning to dive has been my favorite swimming memory. I started at Charlotte Aquatics in Level 1 and have been waiting for the day I get to be a Level 6 Champion. I am so excited to have finally earned my trophy – and from Ms. Gigi! Learning how to swim has given me more freedom at the pool during the summer when I’m with my friends. My mom has been collecting all of my patches and made me a scrapbook of all my swimming memories.
Parent Note: Charlotte Aquatics has given both Amelia and us confidence around the water. From an early age she was a strong swimmer and with each level she passes, we are more comfortable with her in pools and lakes. She has worked so hard to pass Level 6 and we couldn’t be more thrilled for her and for all of the instructors who have taught her along the way. Thank you!
My name is Aashi and I am 7 1/2 years old. I started swimming when I was 5. I am in second grade and I can speak English and Gujarati (Indian) fluently. My favorite stroke in swimming is Backstroke, and my favorite memory of Charlotte Aquatics is my first day here when I was very excited to come to this school. I enjoy dancing, karate and playing monopoly when I am not swimming. I was able to enjoy the pool a lot this past summer as I was able to swim confidently and will keep doing the same. I am very excited today as I graduate and can tell all about it to my best friend Anay when I see him this weekend in West Virginia. Thank you to all the teachers for working hard to make me a good swimmer.
My name is Sienna. I am 5 years old and I am so happy to finally have my trophy just like my older sisters. When I am not swimming, I like to play with my friends and my sisters and cook with my mommy. My best swimming memory is jumping off the diving board at my aunt’s house. My mommy saves all my patches for me in a special container. My favorite stroke to swim is the breast stroke. I liked learning different strokes with my teachers at Charlotte Aquatics and I really liked when I passed level 6. I am excited to be on the swim team this summer.
Parent’s Note: Thank you, Charlotte Aquatics, for teaching all of my girls one of the most valuable life skills – how to swim! They are happy and confident in the water, and our time spent at the pool is enjoyable for everyone.
