Carter‘s Bio:

Carter Pierce is 7 years old and is in the 1st grade. When she’s not swimming, she loves gymnastics! You can usually find her and her big sister flipping around the house!

In the pool, Carter has found a love of breaststroke. The rope swing is always a highlight of the lesson, along with doing silly jumps! Carter has come a long way in her swimming skills, thanks to all of the coaches she’s had at Charlotte Aquatics!

Way to go Carter – we are so proud of you!

Jai‘s Bio:

Jai is 8 years old and in 2nd grade. When Jai is not swimming, she enjoys drawing and painting. Her favorite stroke is butterfly because it gives her confidence. Swimming has helped Jai build confidence both in and out of the water.

What she likes most about Charlotte Aquatics is the strong support she receives from her coaches, which encourages her to continue learning new swimming skills. Her favorite memory at Charlotte Aquatics was confidently swimming all of the strokes and being promoted to Level 7. Jai felt incredibly proud of the progress she made with the support of her coaches.

Keep shining, Jai – you’re doing amazing!

Thomas‘ Bio:

Tommy Olert is 8 years old. He is a 2nd grader at Ballantyne Elementary. When Tommy isn’t swimming, he plays baseball with the Pinevile Ironbirds and Pineville Blue Sox. He also participates in Chess Club at school.

Tommy started Charlotte Aquatics with a demo class in March 2020, before the COVID shutdown. He came back when Charlotte Aquatics reopened in June 2020.

His favorite stroke is freestyle. Swimming has made him more comfortable in the water including pools, lakes and oceans. He enjoyed swimming and making new friends during his classes. He loved his teachers especially Ms. Gigi, Ms. Deborah, Mr. Devyn, and Ms. Olivia. His favorite memories at Charlotte Aquatics are the themed days-he always enjoyed swimming with the pumpkins in the fall and Polar Express Week in December.

Keep up the great work, Tommy – you rock!

We are grateful for the amazing Charlotte Aquatics staff and all they have done to develop our children into excellent swimmers. We have been coming to Charlotte Aquatics weekly for almost 10 years and have watched our two children develop unbelievable swimming skills, one week at a time. It’s hard to believe that we have come to the end of this era as our youngest graduates from level 7!  Thank you Charlotte Aquatics Team for all your hard work and dedication!
