Introducing our August Level 7 Grads

Welcome, Charlotte Aquatics family and proud parents, to a special edition of our swim blog that is sure to make waves of excitement! Today, we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on the rising stars of our aquatic community – the newest Level 7 Graduates! Our graduates are ready to share their tales – inspiring bios that showcase the transformation that happens when passion meets persistence in the shimmering embrace of the water.

Aaradhya’s Bio:

Aaradhya is 12 years old and in 7th grade. When she is not swimming, she enjoys running at the gym and staying active. Her favorite stroke is butterfly, and swimming has changed her life because it helped her become more active and athletic.

One of the things Aaradhya likes most about Charlotte Aquatics is the great teachers who have helped her along the way. Her favorite memory is especially meaningful – she met her best friend, Ishita, at Charlotte Aquatics!

Congratulations, Aaradhya! We are so proud of all you have accomplished! You rock!

Dariana‘s Bio:

Diana‘s Bio:

Diana is 6 years old and a rising 1st grader. When she is not swimming, she enjoys playing dress-up with her puppy, doing arts and crafts, and riding horses. Her favorite stroke is breaststroke because she loves to challenge herself. Swimming has helped Diana become more confident at the beach and in pools.

Diana is grateful to have learned from Ms. Deborah, Ms. Josanly, and the many other amazing instructors she met throughout her time at Charlotte Aquatics. One of her family’s favorite memories is swimming together in Mommy and Me classes with Ms. Deborah. They are thankful for the wonderful journey and all the memories made along the way!

Congratulations, Diana! We have loved watching you grow into such a confident swimmer! Way to go!

Leo‘s Bio:

Leo is 7 years old and a rising 2nd grader. When he is not swimming at Charlotte Aquatics, he loves swimming at home with his family, playing soccer and basketball, building Legos, and skiing. He has also spent the past two summers on the Brace YMCA Swim Team! It’s hard for Leo to choose just one favorite stroke—when he wants to show off his skills, he loves butterfly; when he wants to go fast, he loves freestyle; and when he needs a rest, he prefers breaststroke or backstroke.

Learning to swim has given Leo the confidence to play in the pool and ocean for hours, and he isn’t even afraid of cold water! At Charlotte Aquatics, he especially loves getting to swing from the rope at the end of class. One of his favorite memories is taking his Level 4 classes alongside his cousin, Eliana.

Leo added “I am Leo and I am so excited to be graduating!”

Congratulations, Leo! Your love for the water shines through, and we can’t wait to see all you continue to accomplish!

Lyla‘s Bio:

Lyla is 8 years old and in 2nd grade. Outside of swimming, she enjoys riding her bike, playing with friends, and practicing piano. Backstroke is her favorite stroke, and she has even learned to appreciate butterfly! Swimming has made Lyla stronger and more confident in the water.

One of Lyla’s favorite parts of swim lessons was looking up at the sea animals hanging from the ceiling while swimming backstroke. Another special memory from her final few months at Charlotte Aquatics was getting to swim in the lane next to her 4-year-old brother. She will always be grateful for the confidence, strength, and wonderful memories she gained throughout her years at Charlotte Aquatics.

Congratulations, Lyla! We are so proud of the strong, confident swimmer you’ve become and all the hard work that brought you here!

Mabel‘s Bio:

Mabel is 8 years old and in 2nd grade. When she is not swimming, she loves reading, playing piano, and spending time with her little sister, Margaret. Her favorite stroke is backstroke. Swimming has helped Mabel become more confident and has given her a fun way to stay active all year long.

Mabel loves being silly with her instructors, especially when she gets to jump into the water! Some of her favorite memories at Charlotte Aquatics include jumping off the rope for the first time and swimming with pumpkins in October.

Congratulations, Mabel! We are so proud of everything you’ve accomplished! You rock!

Shvasa‘s Bio:

Bio coming soon…

We are grateful for the amazing Charlotte Aquatics staff and all they have done to develop our children into excellent swimmers. We have been coming to Charlotte Aquatics weekly for almost 10 years and have watched our two children develop unbelievable swimming skills, one week at a time. It’s hard to believe that we have come to the end of this era as our youngest graduates from level 7!  Thank you Charlotte Aquatics Team for all your hard work and dedication!
