Ira’s Bio:
Ira is 11 years old and in 6th grade. When she’s not swimming, she enjoys taking Taekwondo, going to art class, and attending language school. Her favorite stroke is backstroke!
Learning how to swim has made Ira much more confident and less scared of swimming in deep water. Her favorite part about Charlotte Aquatics is that all of the instructors are so kind. One of her favorite memories is when she was first learning to swim and was too scared to get into the water—look at her now!

Kash‘s Bio:
Kash is 7 years old and is in 2nd grade. When he’s not swimming, you can usually find him on the baseball field or playing basketball because he loves staying active and having fun!His favorite stroke is backstroke, and he has always loved being in the water.
Thanks to Charlotte Aquatics, Kash has become a confident and amazing swimmer! His favorite teacher was Ms. Deborah, and he says all of his teachers have been awesome and fun. Kash says “I will miss coming to swim class, but I’m so proud of what I’ve accomplished! Thank you, Charlotte Aquatics!”
We are so proud of you too, Kash! Keep making waves!
Mateo‘s Bio:
Mateo is 8 years old and in 3rd grade. When he’s not swimming, Mateo loves playing soccer. His favorite stroke is freestyle!
Swimming has changed his life for the better because it helped him overcome his fear of the pool. Mateo says he’s loved all of his teachers at Charlotte Aquatics and his favorite memory is all the friends he made and everything he learned about safe swimming.
Great job, Mateo! Congratulations!

Teigen‘s Bio:
Teigen is 8 years old and in 3rd grade. When he’s not swimming, he loves playing hockey! His favorite stroke is freestyle! Learning to swim has changed Teigen’s life because it made him not afraid of water anymore and helped him conquer his fear!
Teigen’s favorite thing about Charlotte Aquatics is learning new swimming styles. His favorite memory is this very moment—graduating from the program!!
Way to go, Teigen! You rock!

We are grateful for the amazing Charlotte Aquatics staff and all they have done to develop our children into excellent swimmers. We have been coming to Charlotte Aquatics weekly for almost 10 years and have watched our two children develop unbelievable swimming skills, one week at a time. It’s hard to believe that we have come to the end of this era as our youngest graduates from level 7! Thank you Charlotte Aquatics Team for all your hard work and dedication!
