Introducing our December Level 7 Grads

Welcome, Charlotte Aquatics family and proud parents, to a special edition of our swim blog that is sure to make waves of excitement! Today, we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on the rising stars of our aquatic community – the newest Level 7 Graduates! Our graduates are ready to share their tales – inspiring bios that showcase the transformation that happens when passion meets persistence in the shimmering embrace of the water.

Landry’s Bio:

Landry is 7 years old and in 2nd Grade at McKey Road Elementary School. When she is not swimming, Landry enjoys spending time with her family and collecting Squishmallows. Her favorite stroke is the backstroke. Swimming has changed her life by allowing her to feel safe around water whether at their neighborhood pool or on vacation.

Other than learning all the different strokes of swimming, one of her most favorite things at Charlotte Aquatics is being able to jump off the rope swing.  Her favorite memory of Charlotte Aquatics was having Coach Mike as a swim teacher and hearing all of his funny jokes.

Laundry’s parents added “As parents, we have truly enjoyed our time at Charlotte Aquatics.  Both of our children have become exceptional swimmers, and we owe that to Charlotte Aquatics and the great teachers our kids have had over the years.  Both Landry and Grady have such confidence and know how in the pool.  We are sad to be leaving but so happy to have had this experience with such a great swim school.  Thank you for all you have done.”

Congrats to Landry for graduating! Charlotte Aquatics is so proud!!

Miya’s Bio:

Miya is 9 years old and is in 4th grade. Miya’s favorites things do to when she is not swimming are draw and craft! Her favorite stroke is breaststroke. Swimming changed her life by adding another thing she likes to do.

What Miya liked most about Charlotte Aquatics is that the instructors were nice and that she had a good experience there. When we asked what her favorite memory of Charlotte Aquatics was she said “I just like everything. I’m just used to the white walls, the buckets of swim materials, I like the pool, and I just like the mood.”

Congrats Miya on graduating!! Job well done!

Scarlett’s Bio:

Scarlett is in first grade and has been swimming at Charlotte Aquatics since she was just two months old! Her favorite swimming stroke is breaststroke. Swimming has helped her feel very comfortable in any water and feel safe.

She loves Charlotte Aquatics because it taught her how to swim while making it super fun. When she is not swimming, Scarlett loves doing gymnastics. Her favorite memory from Charlotte Aquatics is being in Miss Katheryn’s class, where she enjoyed singing and spider crawling with her. Scarlett says she will miss Charlotte Aquatics but feels very proud to have completed Level 7!

We are so proud of you too Scarlett! Way to go!

Van’s Bio:

Van is 9 years old and in the 4th grade. When he’s not swimming, Van enjoys playing soccer, gaming, and fishing. His favorite swimming stroke is freestyle. Swimming has changed Van’s life by giving him the confidence to no longer feel like the “awkward kid” in the pool. What he likes most about Charlotte Aquatics is that they start teaching children at such a young age. His favorite memory from Charlotte Aquatics is when Mr. William used the cone as a megaphone, adding fun and excitement to his lessons.

Van’s parents added “This has been a wonderful place for our boys to learn swimming. Every instructor has met them where they are and gotten them to where they need to be. We’ve so enjoyed our time and really appreciate that our kids know how to safely enjoy the water. Thank you!”

Congrats to Van for graduating. You’re a rockstar!
