Welcome, Charlotte Aquatics family and proud parents, to a special edition of our swim blog that is sure to make waves of excitement! Today, we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on the rising stars of our aquatic community – the newest Level 7 Graduates! Our graduates are ready to share their tales – inspiring bios that showcase the transformation that happens when passion meets persistence in the shimmering embrace of the water.

Addy’s Bio:

Adleigh (Addy) is 7 years old and in 1st grade. She started at Charlotte Aquatics when she was 2½ years old in February 2021. When she’s not swimming, she enjoys horseback riding and playing with friends. Her favorite stroke is breaststroke!

Swimming has changed her life by helping her feel comfortable in the water. What she likes most about Charlotte Aquatics is the very kind teachers, and her favorite memory is moving up levels!

We are so proud – way to go, Addy!

Emmett‘s Bio:

Emmett is 8 years old and is in 2nd grade. When he’s not swimming, Emmett enjoys playing with his friends and spending time with his brother. His favorite stroke is front stroke, and swimming has helped him learn an important life skill that he can carry with him forever.

What he loves most about Charlotte Aquatics is the teachers who have guided him along the way, and his favorite memories include diving, using the rope, and going down the slide.

Way to go, Emmett – keep making a splash and having fun!

Finley‘s Bio:

Finley is 8 years old and is in 2nd grade. Outside of the pool, Finley loves crafting and playing with friends. Her favorite stroke is backstroke, and swimming has helped her feel safe and confident when playing in the pool and the ocean.

What she enjoys most about Charlotte Aquatics is getting to see her teacher, and her favorite memory is a funny one – the day she forgot to wear additional clothes for Safety Week!

Keep shining, Finley – you’re doing amazing!

Sanaya‘s Bio:

Sanaya is an 8-year-old third grader who has truly found her confidence in the water at Charlotte Aquatics. When she isn’t in the pool, she loves playing the piano, reading books, and playing with her brother, Viaan. Her favorite stroke is the breaststroke, and she feels that swimming has changed her life by giving her a rewarding new hobby and a skill she feels very proud of.

What she likes most about Charlotte Aquatics is the hands-on teaching style; she appreciates that the instructors don’t just explain the movements but also demonstrate them, often using fun equipment like special shaped kickboards. Her favorite memory of the school goes all the way back to her very first steps in the water, as she still treasures the photos and videos of her toddler lessons in the pool with her dad.

We couldn’t be prouder of your journey, Sanaya – way to be awesome!

Keep up the great work, Tom – you rock!

We are grateful for the amazing Charlotte Aquatics staff and all they have done to develop our children into excellent swimmers. We have been coming to Charlotte Aquatics weekly for almost 10 years and have watched our two children develop unbelievable swimming skills, one week at a time. It’s hard to believe that we have come to the end of this era as our youngest graduates from level 7!  Thank you Charlotte Aquatics Team for all your hard work and dedication!
