Grant is nine years old and in third grade. In addition to swimming, he enjoys basketball, building with Legos, and mountain biking. Grant’s favorite stroke is breast stroke. He has enjoyed all of the wonderful instructors at Charlotte Aquatics. They helped him to feel more confident so he can have fun swimming at the beach and the pool.
Ella’s Bio:
Ella is 8 years old. When she’s not swimming, she loves to play soccer, practice Tae Kwon Do, dance, and play with her brother Carson. It’s hard for her to pick her best swimming memory because she has been swimming for so long, but she thinks it was swimming to pick out a pumpkin. All her swimming certificates, patches, and pictures are in her mom’s memory box. Her favorite stroke is the breaststroke. She loves that she knows how to swim because that means she can have a lot of fun in her grandma’s pool over the summer. She loves Charlotte Aquatics because the teachers are fun, and they taught her how to swim and be safe in the water.

Evan’s Bio:
Evan is 10 years old. He has loved his time at Charlotte Aquatics because the instructors are so nice and have taught him to swim better than all of his friends. His best memory is his final ceremony, where he got to do one more lap of his favorite stroke: freestyle. He’s kept every single patch, and now his trophy, on a shelf in his room. When he’s not swimming, he likes to play soccer and football with his friends.

Lainey’s Bio:
Lainey is 7 years old. Charlotte Aquatics has been like family to us since Lainey was 3. Thanks to them Lainey has never been afraid of the water and was swimming on her own at an early age in our neighborhood pool. She joined the swim team for Cameron Wood Sharks at age 6 and was doing so well she was asked many times to swim up a level for more competition! She has loved all her instructors at Charlotte Aquatics, especially the “silly ones” ! She loves the butterfly stroke the most and that was the last stroke she was finally able to master! When Lainey is not swimming, she plays soccer and loves to use her creative side as a fashionista (always changing outfits and picking them out for others)!! We will miss Charlotte Aquatics but may return for swim team preparation every year!!
