Callie’s Bio:

Callie is 7 years old and in 2nd grade. She has been at Charlotte aquatics for 3.5 years. She started and finished with Miss Deborah which is kinda cool.  Her favorite stroke is butterfly and her favorite memory is when she finally learned to swim butterfly efficiently.  Learning to swim has given Callie the confidence and freedom to play freely in the pool and ocean. It has also opened up the opportunities to try other water sports like paddle boarding, boogie boarding, and diving.  Callie loves all the instructors at charlotte aquatics and seeing some of her friends there.  She will still be coming with her brother cheering him on from the sidelines until he can graduate. Amazing job, Callie! You’ve come so far, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Grace’s Bio:

Grace is in 2nd grade at Olde Providence Elementary and has been taking lessons at Charlotte Aquatics since 2022. When she’s not swimming, she loves art, playing with her brother and her friends, and practicing cartwheels and roundoffs. She has loved learning all the different strokes at CA, but her favorite is the breaststroke! One of her favorite Charlotte Aquatics memories is when, after lots and lots of practice, she did her first dive! She’s loved every teacher she’s had and always loves seeing how Charlotte Aquatics is decorated for holidays. She says that “Charlotte Aquatics has been a wonderful swim home!

And from mom and dad, “we have loved watching Grace build her skills and confidence in the water. When we moved to Charlotte, we bought a home with a pool so swim lessons were priority number one. We have appreciated every single lesson and every shout of “IT’S SAFETY TIME!” at Charlotte Aquatics!” Way to go Grace! We are so proud of all your hard work!

Mario’s Bio:

Mario is almost 14 years old. When he is not swimming, he enjoys drawing and hanging out with his friends and cousins. His favorite strokes are butterfly and backstroke. Swimming has changed his life by allowing him to learn more about it and grow his skills. Mario loves all the fun activities Charlotte Aquatics plans and says his favorite part is “mainly everything”. His favorite memory is when he finally passed the last swim level and reflected on all the amazing teachers who helped him along the way. Fantastic job, Mario! You’ve achieved so much, and we love being able to celebrate you.

Swimming has changed her life by helping her overcome her fear of swimming. Nicole’s favorite part of Charlotte Aquatics is spending time with her teachers and classmates and getting to meet amazing kids and teachers. She will always remember her teachers and wants to thank them for helping her improve. Nicole says “I will miss coming to Charlotte Aquatics!” We’re excited to see where your skills take you next, Nicole. Great work!

Saanvi’s Bio:

Saanvi is 9 years old. When she is not swimming she loves to sing, play, and do gymnastics. Her favorite stroke is breast stroke. Swimming has changed her life because before swim lessons as Charlotte Aquatics, she was scared to go in the water, but now she feels safe. The two things she likes most about Charlotte Aquatics are that the teachers are really nice and the different decorations for the holidays. She says her favorite memory at Charlotte Aquatics was when she was doing a makeup class and there were 2 boys in her class. They were pretending to scream help as if they were in ocean and the boys’ voices were loud and funny.Congratulations, Saanvi! We’re so proud of all your hard work and dedication.

Veda’s Bio:

Veda is 13 years old and in 7th grade. Swimming has changed her life in several meaningful ways, providing her with a way to relax and clear her mind. It has helped her build strength and discipline while teaching her to push through challenges. Being in the water gives Veda a sense of peace and helps her feel more connected to herself. Her favorite stroke is breaststroke because every time she glides, she feels a rush down her body and it always feels pleasant and calm. Veda loves swimming—it’s her favorite way to relieve daily stress and feel energized in and out. Way to go, Veda! We’re so proud of you!

Vidhathri’s Bio:

Vidhathri is 8 years old and will be turning 9 in February. When she is not swimming, she enjoys singing classical music, playing with her friends, practicing classical dancing, and watching TV. Her favorite stroke is breaststroke. Swimming has changed her life by giving her the confidence to save herself from dangers in the water and ensuring she doesn’t get drowned. The best part of Charlotte Aquatics, according to Vidhathri, is meeting new teachers and friends—and, of course, eating lollipops! Her favorite memory of Charlotte Aquatics is her very first day when she learned how to blow bubbles underwater. Well done, Vidhathri! Keep reaching for new heights in everything you do.

We are grateful for the amazing Charlotte Aquatics staff and all they have done to develop our children into excellent swimmers. We have been coming to Charlotte Aquatics weekly for almost 10 years and have watched our two children develop unbelievable swimming skills, one week at a time. It’s hard to believe that we have come to the end of this era as our youngest graduates from level 7!  Thank you Charlotte Aquatics Team for all your hard work and dedication!
