Our Level 6 Graduates have worked extremely hard to pass our highest level. They are now able to swim 200 feet of freestyle, 200 feet of backstroke, 150 feet of butterfly, 150 feet of breaststroke, swim a 100ft IM, tread water for 5 minutes and have passed the Charlotte Aquatics Water Safety Exam!! Way to go Super Swimmers – you have set a huge goal, persevered, and achieved it!
My name is Finnigan. I am 9 years old and in the 4th grade. In my free time, I love to play video games, read graphic novels, build Legos, play golf and tennis. I’ve been at Charlotte Aquatics as long as I can remember – mom says since I was seven months old, but I don’t remember that! I’ve kept all my ribbons, patches, and certificates; most of them are on my bulletin board in my room but mom has tucked them away for me. I’ve had a lot of different teachers since I’ve been here and I’ve loved all of them. Mr. Mike was one of my first teachers, so it’s pretty cool that I’m finishing Level 6 with him! Swimming has taught me to stick with something. I’ve gotten frustrated and wanted to quit but I’ve always wanted to pass the levels even more!
My name is Kenneth and I am 9 years old. I’m in 3rd grade and go to a language immersion school where I am learning to speak spanish. In addition to swimming, I also play piano and guitar and I’m learning to play lacrosse. My favorite stroke is freestyle. What I liked most about swim was getting to swim with the big kids. All of the teachers at Charlotte Aquatics helped me a lot, especially Mr. William. I’m excited to graduate and keep getting better.
