Introducing our March Level 7 Grads

Welcome, Charlotte Aquatics family and proud parents, to a special edition of our swim blog that is sure to make waves of excitement! Today, we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on the rising stars of our aquatic community – the newest level 7 Graduates. Our graduates are ready to share their tales – inspiring narratives that showcase the transformation that happens when passion meets persistence in the shimmering embrace of the water.

Julianna‘s Bio:

Julianna Maxim is 8 years old and has been at Charlotte Aquatics since she turned 3, starting in Level 1. It took her some time to get the hang of it, but once she graduated to Level 2, her swimming really took off. She’s had great instructors over the years, with Ms. Kathryn and Ms. Gigi instructing her earlier levels and Ms. Deborah and Ms. Olivia with her as she reached the most recent levels. She’s kept every patch and certificate she has ever received in her memory box. Her favorite swim stroke is the breaststroke, and one of her best memories of her time at Charlotte Aquatics was when Mr. Devyn was a sub for her normal instructor, and he threw the kids around the pool! She’s happiest when she’s in the water, but when she’s not swimming, she loves to rollerblade, play soccer, hang out with her friends, read, and go on hikes. The love she has for the water and her confidence in the pool are all because of the great instructors and safety training she’s had during her time at Charlotte Aquatics. We couldn’t be more thankful for the experience and are so proud of her for accomplishing her goal to graduate from Level 7!

Benjamin’s Bio:

Benjamin is 11 years old. When he is not swimming, he enjoys golf, Legos, video games, and spending time with his family and friends. His favorite memories from swim lessons are doing the rope swing and picking up the heavy weights from the bottom of the pool. His favorite stroke is the breaststroke. One of the things he likes most about Charlotte Aquatics is all the special treats they give out for different holidays. His experience at Charlotte Aquatics has helped him become a more confident and safe swimmer.

Emmy’s Bio:

Emmy Walker is 7 years old.. When she’s not swimming, she enjoys doing gymnastics and making art. Initially, when she began swimming, she cried through the whole first lesson. However, Ms. Gigi’s kindness made her start to enjoy it. Swimming has become a significant part of her life, providing her with freedom in the pool. Her favorite stroke is the backstroke. Emmy’s favorite aspect of Charlotte Aquatics is the exceptionally kind people there.

Madeleine‘s Bio:

Madeleine Wooten, a 7-year-old in first grade, enjoys gymnastics and playing with friends when she’s not swimming. Her favorite swimming memory is being in Mr. Mike’s class, where initially nervous, his humor and encouragement boosted her confidence. Madeleine’s preferred stroke is the breaststroke. Swimming has always been enjoyable for her, as she’s always loved the water. At Charlotte Aquatics, she appreciates all her teachers for making learning to swim an enjoyable experience.

Gary’s Bio:

Gary is a 12-year-old student in 6th grade. When he’s not swimming, he spends his time hanging out with friends, playing basketball, and indulging in video games. His fondest swimming memory involves swimming with pumpkins in the fall, and he keeps his patches and certificates in a memory box. Gary’s favorite stroke is freestyle because of his speed. Swimming classes have enhanced his comfort in the water. He particularly appreciates the friendly and kind teachers and staff at Charlotte Aquatics.
